A timeline created for the Sakharov price

The students worked in groups using the online platform Time toast. The purpose of the work was to teach our students what the Sakharov Prizes are and to whom they are awarded. The objectives of the project, which were successfully achieved were: 

  • to be informed and gain awareness about human rights 
  • to learn about the work of the award-winning individuals 
  • and to work as a team

Celebrating the day of Europe!

In order to celebrate the day of Europe on May 9th, our students have developed an application for smart devices, using the enviroment of App Inventor. They created a quiz with questions concerning the EE and used the school tablets to test their classmates knowledge on the subject. Prior to the quiz a presentation took place concerning a short overview of the history of EE and after the quiz a questionaire was given to the pupils with questions about the importance and the role of EE. Some very important conclusions were drawn and among them 62% of our students believe that the role of EE is very important!

December 10th - World Human Rights Day

World Human Rights Day is celebrated every year on 10th December, commemorating the signing of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by the UN General Assembly on 10th of December, 1948. Its inspiring vision is a world with rights and freedoms for all.

Our school decided to celebrate this day with an event on the Internet, with the padlet made collaboratively by the students of A4.

The Right to Health or more properly the «right to the highest attainable standard of health», this highest good, nowadays is in danger, that's why we dedicate the event to this right.

Responding to students desire for learning and information on the scientific and technological issues of concern to the international scientific community, our School organized and implemented a study visit to the EuropeanElementary Physics Center CERN on 17 December 2019.

     Hydrobot!!!

Hydrobot is a project that is carried out under the auspices of the Institute of Evgenidou.This project involved the construction of a robot, cable-connected to its control unit, that can move in water. Pedagogically, the aim of the project, on one hand, is the development of co-operation among students and, on the other hand, the methods of approaching a scientific subject in order to achieve a certain scientific goal. The ultimate scope of hydrobot is its use inmonitoring specific parameters in water environmentsthrough sensors and sharing the measurements on an open data base.
